I really like the expansive list that it offers of "must read" books, and find the "borrowing and lending records" in the back to be quite handy as I always seem to be handing books out to people and then forgetting where they went. My advice to those who may be (have been) attracted to the book by its title and cover is to start reading with Chapter 9 on page 315, treating the first 8 chapters as if they had been relegated to an appendix at the end of the book.
