Their stories were slow in evolving and I wasn’t invested in them enough to enjoy a slow moving plot. For those of us who love JP2's philosophical stuff, this book is not as meaty as his encyclicals. My twin, 13 year old boys adore all of the Horrible History books. This novel was chilling to the spine, and as we know truth is stranger than fiction. It appeared to be a new release about the birds of the Bible, but is actually a collection of sermons published in 1901. They played a much bigger part in the book. It assisted me documenting my family genealogy. (Note: this reviewer received a free copy of this book for an independent review. I found it at a yard sale and have been reading it to my daughter since she was an infant. Disappointments along with successes on the sports field.
